Every Drop Counts
It’s been quiet at the dragon drop this past week. Just beautiful skies: Slow little moments: And a few people stopping to take pictures: Which is nice. But remember, should any of y’all want to take it up a notch, the dragon loves it and: Have fun! :)

Ousted!
A wise man once said, “If you don’t grind, you don’t shine.” And oh is it so true. Our world record toothbrush collection, as seen on the Universal Record Database and (however briefly) CNN is no longer a world record. We’ve been ousted by brushrats from London, Kentucky: Most Toothbrushes On Bathroom Counter Matthew, Joe, Justin and Mawnie Belcher plus their friends...

Caned!
Thanks to whoever left the dragon this swell jeweled cane! I’ve been out of town in New York and Detroit, but Pierce took some pics and has been rocking it around the house. Well played! We, and the dragon, loves it! I also did an image search for “dragon with cane” and found some interesting words of wisdom from a venerable wyrm: This may be the first piece of elderly...

The Dragon Is A World Record Holder! Bump Up His...
There’s a new website called the Universal Record Database, or URDB, that’s like an open Wikipedia-style version of the Guiness World Records. Basically you can submit whatever record you like as long as it’s evidenced, quantifiable and breakable, and they bestow upon you the honor of an official world record. I’m happy to announce that the Dragon Drop has earned a world...

"We Love You, Dragon Face": A Round-Up of This...
Sweet! We received a few drops for the dragon over the last few days, some tied to tantalizing mystery.  First, thank you to whoever left the awesome dragon book! Dragons: A Natural History by Dr. Karl Shuker is a great illustrated tour of dragons throughout history. We love it and are learning all sorts of stuff about dragons. Check out the sweet dedication to the dragon drop: Chomp chomp...

The Dragon Drop Sign Was Tooken! Reward For Return
We were remiss in not reporting this sooner, but it was almost too shocking. ;) I returned from Detroit a little over a week ago to find the Dragon Drop sign gone. Everyone in the house was baffled. We’ve since received a couple more gifts for the dragon which we’ll post soon, but I wanted to offer a reward for anyone returning the sign or offering information related to its actual...

Dragon's Have Wild Style
Neat! I just read about this map tool called Wild Style City that lets you draw graffiti on top of street view-style maps of San Francisco. Check it out. I took the “bus” to 21st and Mission and then clicked up hill to the dragon drop. The door is open and you can see the imagery is recent because the sign is up. Too bad you can’t graffiti everywhere. I headed back...

:( An Accident Happened In Front of The Dragon...
UPDATE: Gonzales Chavez left a comment and we want to apologize if we hurt or disrespected anyone’s feelings. We also want to clarify a few things. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for approaching a year and we often see people stopping to take pictures of the nice house across the street and the dragon on the steps. This gave us an idea to experiment with enhancing that local...

If The Dragon Will Not Go To The Mushroom, The...
Hokay. So. To recap from the start very quickly: We put some gold in the dragon’s mouth, it fell out, we found a tiny umbrella, we put the gold back in with the umbrella, it rained but the gold stayed dry, we maid a sign and stuck the gold on it, a neighbor brought a blingy dragon grill, it was awesome, someone stole it, we suspect Dean and/or a disapproving rabbit after finding broken...

Mystery and Intrigue and Mushrooms, Oh My!
Quite the weekend at the dragon drop. The cops came by to investigate the theft of the dragon’s grill. I was told, “Son, if I had a nickel for every dragon grill theft in this town I’d have five cents. I’m sorry I don’t have time to help you.” *le sigh* We discovered ancient fossilized keys for opening forgotten old doors: and enacted magic rituals to...

Defanged! Carrot and Broken Glasses, What...
So I woke up today to find someone had taken the dragon’s new grill! And very mysteriously on the steps there was a carrot and some broken glasses. One can only imagine what must have taken place during the night… Post your conspiracy theories in the comments. I think maybe a near-sighted rabbit gang is behind this. UPDATE! I think maybe this disapproving rabbit named...

The Case of The Bling In The Dark: Take A Picture...
The other night I was on the porch in the wet dark watching reflections of the traffic light turn from red to green with the cars going by and a girl stopped and said hello, and I said hello, and she said she lived down the street and would bring something back for the dragon drop. Her name is Mackenzie. The next day I worked on a proper sign for the dragon drop. I drew out the letters ...

The Dragon Drop Works In Mysterious Ways
So I went outside this afternoon and saw the dragon’s gold was gone! But then I looked around and saw it had blown down the street. And sitting right by it was a little blue cocktail umbrella. So I put the gold back in the dragon’s mouth and covered it with the umbrella. Then I went out for a while and it started to rain. When I came home I was happy that the gold had blown...

(PSSST! this site has special secret super powers)
If you look in the far upper-left and far lower-right of this page you’ll see a few mystery buttons. Up top you’ve got Cornify and Draw Here. Hitting the Cornify button plops unicorns, rainbows, and sparkles on the page. Keep hitting it for happy fun enjoyment: The Draw Here button pops up a drawing tool so you can scribble, doodle, and write things on the page: Down at the...

Flower Power As Seen On The Dragon Drop TV
It’s funny, I woke up today as two of Nicki’s friends who’d been staying here were on their way out to the airport. The door was still open and this woman with a dog and a child in stroller rolled up and started cooing at the dragon. I think I surprised her when I bounded out on the steps with a “the dragon drop dot com!” Haha smile, you’re on The Dragon Drop...

First Drop: I Wanna Know Where Da Gold At
I just put a bling cut-out that was printed up by our friend Kroosh and a link to the site on the dragon drop. Let’s see if we catch any fish. Double hi if you got here from the street! Please come back and put something in the dragon’s mouth. Listen to the I Wanna Know Where Da Gold At/Gimme Da Gold song remixed from this amazing old news video about...

Welcome To The Dragon Drop!
The residents of 915 Guerrero Sreet could not help but notice that passerbys often stop to see and photograph the dragon on their front stairs, and occasionally leave things in its mouth. So why not take it up a notch? Please visit the The Dragon Drop, take pictures with it and tag them thedragondrop, and leave and take fun things from its mouth. One time our friend Erin put a bunch of hotdogs...
